Position Summary
As a team leader, you'll be responsible for managing and developing a team of managed services engineers. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. Additionally, you'll build and maintain strong client relationships, provide technical guidance, and manage IT projects. To improve efficiency, you'll identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices. Finally, you'll monitor performance metrics, report to senior management, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managed services engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Service Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the managed services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT support and services to clients in accordance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a point of escalation for critical issues and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, particularly in complex troubleshooting scenarios, system upgrades, and deployments.
- Project Management: Manage and oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the managed services practice and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including SLA adherence, client satisfaction, and team performance. Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Compliance: Ensure the team adheres to industry standards, best practices, and compliance requirements, including data security and privacy regulations.
Experience + Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited university
- 5+ years of experience in IT managed services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery planning and implementation skills are required.
- Must be adaptable and capable of learning new software quickly.
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks and best practices for IT service management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and senior management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
